Simone has worked in casting since 1984, in London until 1999 and Edinburgh from 2012 to the present day.

During her career break she studied and practised as an artist and raised a family.

When not working or glued to an independent film, she can be found @walkingtosrilanka with her husband, retracing her roots.

Anna has worked in casting since 2012. First in London and 11 years in Scotland.

She is particularly passionate about nurturing Scottish/Scotland based voices, productions, stories and talent.

In 2021 she co-created a Yes/No tool with Tagmin to ensure actors get an answer on auditions.

When not frantically flitting between London & Edinburgh for work you’ll find her on her beach, listening to Sam Cooke, or probably watching Fawlty Towers.

Esther Scott

Casting Assistant

Esther began working with PHD Casting in 2025 after 5 years of working closely with actors in agencies across the Central Belt.

Immersed in the Scottish theatre scene from birth, Esther went on to study a degree in Film & Television.

Having explored different pathways within the industry, meeting mentors who have championed her along the way, Esther has found her forever home in casting.

When not firing out self-tape requests you can find her pedalling furiously to the nearest theatre or cinema on her bike, shooting pool at her local or in the pit at a gig!
